BYNRIE: Traditional Celtic Music Reimagined on Mandolins

Players from the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra periodically get together to play traditional Irish dance tunes and airs. Sherry Ladig graciously provides original harmonies to accompany traditional tunes, as well as original work.

We realize that the group is hardly traditional, hence the name BYNRIE — an acronym for Bet You’re Not Really Irish Either.

The BYNRIE players rolled with the punches — flowing crowd around them — as our patrons packed Harriet Brasserie with their besties.

Here is the setlist and Jonathan’s interpretation notes. Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet; She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet.… Read more: Thank You at Villa Park
